So we have successfully completed all the vegetables without any food aversions. Aside from not liking some of the textures (seriously who wouldn't) Haley has mastered them all. Here are some shots from dinner time. I am loving the close up pictures as they really capture the grossness that is feeding a baby!
After deciding that Haley had mastered rice cereal it was time to move on to more advanced food. I had dreams of being like my dear friend Jill and making all Haley's baby food but then I decided that I barely liked my own cooking let alone if it was mushed into a smooth sauce. In the end I succumbed to the mass produced Gerber brand. So far Haley has been loving it. I can't wait to see how she likes sweet fruits...for now we are sticking to veggies like her father's favorite...the green pea!
We spent the weekend in Victoria at Granny and Poppy's house with a day long jaunt over to Rockport on Saturday. My sister's in-laws were gracious enough to invite us to their new condo. Justin got to enjoy a morning full of fishing while Haley and I spent it shopping and laying around in the pool. It was Haley's first adventure with a real pool and she totally loved it. She lounged in her floaty for what seemed like hours. Eventually her father got home and claimed it as his own...Good thing I am always happy to hold her! We stuck around late enough to enjoy the burgers but unfortunately missed the fireworks. Maybe next year Justin can put on our own little firework show...I just know Haley will love sparklers!
I am a loving mommy to my two little ones and a doting wife to my knight in shining armor. I love crafting, sewing, baking, cleaning, decorating, and long walks on the beach. Ha. Each day is an adventure as I strive for domestication!
