Welcome to the Neighborhood

So it is official, CELG have sold their house in Fairfield and are finalizing paperwork on a house just 5 minutes from Justin and I in Pearland. The closing, on both houses, is set for late May so they should be moved in by early June. Despite the fact that we are not looking forward to helping them move we are looking forward to having them within 5 minutes. I guess we owe them since they did help us move all our nicely organized boxes and furniture (this is a jab in case there was any question). Welcome to the neighborhood you guys!

FYI: For those of you not prevy to my use of acronyms, CELG is short for Chris, Erin, Lucy, and Grace.

The Buskirk Peach Tree

Since we moved into the new house it seems everything that is happening outside is completely new to us. Even though we know these events have always been taking place it's almost like we have never noticed them before. After long debate I have decided the reason for this is because for the first time in our lives it is actually ours; we are pulling weeds in our flower beds and putting down fertilizer in our yard. It is the most wonderful feeling. We go out just about everyday to see how things are changing. One of our most prized possessions is the peach tree (cross your fingers) that we hope will actually provide fruit this year. The beautiful flowers this tree makes are this amazing deep pink color. Pretty soon these flowers will wilt and fall and leave in their place a little fruit.

I have decided that as a way to keep myself blogging I am going to track the cycle of "The Buskirk Peach Tree". Hope you will all enjoy in the fruits of my labor. Haha.
